Hail Crusaders

Bare warning that the Alabaster Hammer encountered pirates in the C sector of this area.

It is believed they snuck in when the fleet first arrived, their ships are of imperial make.

2 such ships have been captured by the alabaster hammer, a further 2 at least are believed to still be roaming the expanse.

Further details will be shared when we all meet again.

Would you know the names of the pirate ships, by chance?
The ones that haven't been captured by yourself, of course - most envious of your good fortune.

I have not, unfortunatly the subject providing us with information did not have the constitution he should have. I can try again with another should it be the wish of the crusade.

Hail to the crew of the Alabaster Hammer and hail to its navigator
Congratulations to the Hammer on her two prizes of war.
Might I ask as to the Class and complement of the two vessels still at large. While we have not encountered any such bottom feeders, those who would put the fleet at risk deserve the Emperor’s Justice and my Arch Militant would dearly like to train his sights on any pirates who wish to prey upon this crusade.

On a lighter note one navigator to another, might I suggest new names for your captured ships. Perhaps “Marble Maul” and the “Jade Truncheon” would be appropriate?

May the Emperor protect you and your fleet on your return to Port Scorn.

The captured vessels are being thoroughly reviewed by myself and crew. Those that hinder the progress will be dealt with as an example to the others, their heads torn from their bodies and hung as warning.

The vessels at large have not been confirmed with complete detail. All should know the existing vessels in the fleet. Any outside of this are likely adversaries to the Emperors light.

Brother you go too far!

We are in this region of space to return these colonies to Compliance with the imperial creed and several of these systems have access to warp capable ships.

Already systems respond to our hails fearful that we may be aligned with the forces of the archenemy that harass the colonies of this sector, they must know that we come with hands outstretched to welcome them back into the glorious embrace of the imperium of man, not with void shields ignited and our lances aching to rend them from the void.

If pirates are active within this region then we will find them and we will punish them, their command crews mind wiped and returned to the ships compliment as servitors and their vessels repurposed to suite imperial goals and reintegrated into the fleet.

But to blindly fire upon any vessel you do not recognise would be irresponsible and would reflect poorly on the entire battle fleet.

I counsel for patience brother, we can discuss this further at port scorn should you wish.

As yet we have been unable to ascertain the location or details of other pirates, however the crew has given creedence to the notion that there are infact Chaos cruisers in the expanse.

The Alabaster hammer stands by the word of its priest, who did not at any point advocate fireing on forign vessels haphazardly and without due cause. All ships outside of the existing vessels are likely outside of the emporers light and therefore must be treated with caution. Any ship that does not return a hail sent both mechanically and through the astropaths should be considered hostile.

Agnitio Fornax, your approach and result is desired. Retaining the bodies with amendments to the mind should result in the lowest loss of resources. At times forcefully carrying out these amendments results in resistance, as not all are welcoming the chance to be aligned or re-aligned with the Emperor. This resistance is quickly crushed when they witness the punishment. Seeing the head of one that you once called Sir makes you re-evaluate their orders and actions.

A fast and brutal punishment on few saves long and meek punishment on many, hence saving time and resources. The pirates are already lost, retaining any is a gain, this gain should be as large as possible but I am not going to have it hinder our efforts.

I agree that to blindly fire upon any vessel that is not recognised would be irresponsible and would reflect poorly on the entire battle fleet, which is why the Alabaster Hammer does not practice this action. Our navigator Lungra V'Orcle has clarified this to you.

Patience is for those who do not have the capabilities to calculate beyond the limitations of flesh or hindered by mortal emotions. I am enhanced by millennia of technological development, restored and operated by the power of the Machine god, and do not suffer this trait often.

At present through shared intelligence I can advise you that this region contains:
Orks, Though feral or spacefaring it is as yet uncertain.

The Revolting Eldar blight this system with some considerable force. It is believed there are two factions present as manufacturing and aesthetic tastes are clearly delineated (one forces vessels are formed from a revolting and clearly heretical biopolymer of xeno Contrivance, where the other while opting for closer to normal manufacturing methods their vessels are obviously born of a Xeno mind, cluttered with great evil blades and filthy xeno iconography yet both sharing the curious Lethe designs so indicative of these foul Xeno.

And at present four vessels of the Archenemy have been confirmed within the system, and there is substantial evidence to support that these enemies of mankind are operating without the support of a greater local fleet.
their designations are as such:
The Promise of Vengence, idolator class raider.
The Corpus Pestis, Carnage class cruiser.
The Filth bearer, Repulsor class grand cruiser.

Further the "seditious" a murder class cruiser has been torn from the void by "Morituri te Salutamus" under the command of Lord Admiral Kresimir Alexuis Valinger-Hawkwood and shall blight this region no further.

and in recent months the imperial navy has been forced to redeploy fully half of it's forces from this system to the Cadian gate.

Surely we need not take an aggressive footing with the remaining human contingents of this region of space too?

We are in a region rife with conflict, Victories of diplomacy will place us on a greater footing for the times when violence is the only recourse.
were Conflict of arms could cost us more in the long term than bears conception.

thought of the day

'A Heretic may see the truth and seek redemption.
He may be forgiven his past and will be absolved in death.
A Traitor can never be forgiven.
A Traitor will never find peace in this world or the next.
There is nothing as wretched or as hated in all the world as a Traitor.'

-Cardinal Khrysdam, Instructum Absolutio

Your information is noted and will be compared to what we have retrieved, additions or modifications will be forwarded.

A human outside of the light of the Emperor is as likely to kill you where you stand as a Xeno, should you take a different footing you are only increasing this likelihood.

All who resist shall perish, regardless of race or how far removed they are from the light. Their continued existence only goes to support a claim that there is an alternative, which there is not. All have a chance to turn to the light, some make their choice quicker than others. An aggressive footing should always be ready and implemented when the unworthy make their choice. Should they not turn to the Emperor easily then diplomacy does little without the support of conflict of arms.
